Poly Band and Color Guard Boosters need donations and/or volunteers so we can save the band.
While Riverside Poly Band, Drumline and Color Guard Boosters (RPBD&CGB) are lucky for the support Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) gives to music and art education, our marching band program will not continue without donations and volunteers.
RPBD&CGB believe marching band is a vital component of the high school experience. It's equally important as athletic competitions (not just football), dances and clubs. Whether at a basketball game or pep rally, the thundering drumline or sassy riffs from the brass section provide unforgettable excitement. High school would be a sadder place without marching band.
RPBD&CGB makes sure the gift of marching band stays and continues in its fullest form. RPBD&CGB is a group of mostly Riverside Poly HS parents and alumni. Below are examples of the type of support RPBD&CGB provides.
The largest portion of fund-raising revenue goes to pay for additional teachers and field show designers. Our band director can not single handedly manage 150+ teenagers and produce a quality, competition worthy, show on his own. Most of the remainder goes to props and costumes for color guard.
