Riverside Poly Band and Color Guard Pancake Fundraiser

Coming up on Saturday, September 11, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m, Applebee’s in downtown Riverside will be hosting our Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser. Breakfast will be served by our students, and all band members will be asked to sell tickets, and volunteer!

Tickets are $10 per person, and are available for sale from our students or at booster night Thursday, September 9 at Poly High School. Cash and checks are accepted.

We need the following:

  1. 16-18 students to be at Applebee’s from  7 a.m. until 11 a.m to act as greeters, bussers and servers.
  2. They must be at least 16 years old and wear closed toe shoes.
  3. A couple parents to oversee the kids and event.

We have 250 printed tickets at $10 each, and we keep $5 per ticket! While we can sell a few tickets at the door, hopefully we sell out before the event.

Order forms will be given to all the kids this week. As they sell tickets they fill out each purchaser on the order form, similar to the Cherrydale fundraiser. They will then turn the money in on the evening of Thursday, September 9th and receive the their tickets. Those tickets can then be delivered to the clients. That same evening we will have tickets available during the booster meeting.

Additional Order Forms are available here.

If you or your children can volunteer, please contact Paul Richardson using the online Contact Form.

Join us for breakfast including pancakes, butter, syrup, scrambled eggs, bacon, juice and coffee.

Attend a Taping of “Let’s Make a Deal”: Have Fun and Have the Opportunity to Win and Get on TV

Post Date: Sunday, August 8th, 2010

We have been offered the opportunity to raise money by attending a taping of the game show “Let’s Make a Deal.” They tape on Saturdays and Sundays.

The dates are the Aug. 21 or 22, Aug. 28 or 29 and Sept. 4 or 5, with an arrival time of 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.

This will be a really fun day and they are saying that, for audience members who dress up, there is a 1 in 18 chance that you will be selected to be a contestant. We can attend two tapings in a day, so if you don’t get chosen the first time you have a chance in the second show.

If you would like to take part in this, please send an e-mail to letsmakeadeal@riversidepolyband.com and state the days you can go. I will go with majority rules.

Note: you must be 18 years of age to attend. If we get enough people we can raise several hundred dollars for the band and have fun while doing it.

They would like for us to let them know by mid-next week. We need at least 10 people to be considered a group.

    Exciting New Fundraising News

Post Date: Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

Hello Riverside Poly Band & Color Guard families!

At the Spring Concert in May we mentioned we were working on some exciting new fundraising plans for the band and color guard programs. Part of that was our Early Pledge Drive. To those of you that made pledges, thank you! Those pledges enabled us to get an idea of our starting budget, in advance of the 2010 – 2011 season. Another part of our efforts was to make it easier for you, our supporters, to donate money.

I am very excited to share the news that the Riverside Poly Proud Heritage Band & Color Guard now accepts donations through our website. We accept most major credit cards, and PayPal! On the Riverside Poly Band Website you will see a new “Donate” button in the right sidebar, just under the Search box. This button enables our band families, and other supporters, to easily make donations to the band program.

Studies show that kids involved in music-related, or arts-related, programs do better in school – and in life. Please help by donating today.

Donations may be tax deductible! *
If you made a pledge, now is a great time to fullfill that pledge.
If you have not pledged, that’s OK! Anyone can donate to the band.
If your child enjoys the band and color guard programs, show your support.
If your business, or group, want to help kids succeed, donate today.

Summer Camp starts August 9th. Help us start the new season right.

*Riverside Poly Proud Heritage Band & Color Guard is a non-profit organization. Donations may be tax deductible, but you should always consult your tax professional.
