Come see how you can help.

Carl’s Jr. Booklets
Post Date: October 11th, 2011To the fantastic parents and students who either sold or tried to sell the Carls Jr. booklets and Entertainment books: We thank you and applaud you for your efforts! Two huge events are coming up next week, Band Extravaganza on Oct. 19 and Homecoming on Oct. 22. We would like those of you who have sold or tried to sell them, to either turn in the money you received for the books, or turn in the booklets by Monday, Oct. 17 at the latest.
We have a great opportunity to sell them at both of the upcoming events and would like to have all the unsold ones back and the money to help pay for the supplies needed for these events. If we have any leftover booklets after the event you may recheck them out.
With the holidays soon upon us, they would make great holiday gifts and stocking stuffers!
The booklets can be turned in to Mary Ann Lambert or Phil Pitchford, who are usually around after school. They will also be at the at the monthly band booster meeting this Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Poly High School.
Please come by to find out how you can lend a helping hand to make these events a success.

Poly Band and Color Guard Parents, Families and Friends
On Wednesday, Oct. 19, the annual Band Extravaganza will take place at Ramona High School. If you have a child in the band, you no doubt have attended this event.
We have great news: this year it is Poly Band and Color Guard’s turn to sponsor the event. That means we have an only-once-in-five-years opportunity to raise BIG money for our program.
What does this entail? We are handling all aspects of the event, including running the snack bar, selling and taking tickets, parking the buses, providing hospitality and security and end of event clean up. We also need help in getting our own band dressed, transported and on the field.
Sound like a lot of work? Yes, but we receive all the proceeds (except the tickets that are sold by individual schools).
It also means that we need many, many volunteers and donations. If you have not volunteered before, this is a great time to jump in, help and get to know some of your fellow boosters.
In addition, the band leaders will give each member of their section an item or items that we need for sale in the snack bar.
We will need volunteers beginning at 3:30 p.m. and will continue to need help until closing. It would be great if you can work the entire shift, however, any help you can offer is appreciated.
Please come to our booster meeting, this Thursday, 7:30 a.m. Oct. 13 at Poly High School, where we will talk about this event and many other important activities.
PLEASE PITCH IN TO KEEP THIS GREAT PROGRAM GOING!
To volunteer, contact Kim Lane via the band contact form.
