Here is a list of what we are asking parents to donate:

Baritones — Baking
Clarinets — Beach
Color Guard — Movies
Tubas — Sports
Trumpets — Camping
Pit — Chocolates

Drumline — Breakfast

Please ask your child about the Applebees event, which will be held 8-10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. They should have a flier with details about selling tickets and photos with Santa. Or contact any board member for more details.

Celebrate the Championship Win with Applebees and Santa

Post Date: December 5th, 2011

Poly Band families:

As many of you know, our kids brought home the bronze medal this weekend, finishing 3rd out of 10 bands in our division.

That’s a great accomplishment, and we will celebrate this Saturday at the flapjacks breakfast fundraiser at Applebee’s restaurant at University Avenue and Vine Street in downtown Riverside.

The event is 8-10 a.m. and tickets are $10 per person.

Santa will be there and kids of all ages will be able to take a photo with Santa — perfect for Christmas cards!

A 5X7 photo print is $3; photos that are e-mailed but not printed are only $2.

Your student was given an envelope with his/her name on it on Thursday night, and a small flyer with details about the flapjacks event. Just put the appropriate amount of money ($10 per ticket) in the envelope and have your student return the envelope on Thursday or Friday during 6th period.

Somebody from the booster club will be there to pick up the money. Then just pick up your tickets at the table in front of the restaurant Saturday morning. Of course, walk-up tickets also will be available for sale at the event.

See you Saturday!

Thank You to Our Volunteers

Post Date: December 2nd, 2011

We would like to thank all our volunteers this year by holding a holiday gathering at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 14.

The event will be held at the home of Sandi AhSue, 5761 Argyle Way.

If you have volunteered this season you are welcome to attend. Please bring a dish to share. Drinks will be provided. Adult volunteers only.

Questions can be sent to Veronica or Sandi via the band contact form.

We will continue our fundraising events throughout the year, so let us know if you want to help.
