We participate in a variety of year round fundraising options that allow you to contribute financially to the band at little or not extra cost. These include shop with Scrip and the Ralphs Community Contribution program. And remember that the Poly Band Boosters are the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization cash contributions may be tax deductible.

Riverside Poly Band and Color Guard has partnered with Showpwithscrip.com as a way to raise money for our program. Through the scrip program, you and your friends and family purchase “gift cards” for designated face value amounts. These can be used for every day purchases, like groceries, gas and other necessities or you can give them as gifts. Take a look at the frequently asked questions for more information:

Q: What will it cost me?
You pay face value of the card. For instance, if you purchase a $200 card for Target, you will get a card valued at $200. There is no extra cost to you.

Q: What is the benefit to the Poly Band and Color Guard?
A: Each of the merchants have agreed to give our program a percentage of the value of the card. The percentage depends on the merchant and ranges from 2 percent to 16 percent.

Q: What type of scrip is available?
A: There are 100s of choices. Some of the most common include Target, Best Buy, Vons, Stater Bros, Starbucks, Regal Theatres, CVS, Carls Jr., Arco and iTunes. For a complete list, visit: http://www.shopwithscrip.com/shop

Q: How do I purchase scrip?
A: There are several ways to purchase scrip. We keep some of the most commonly used scrip in stock. To see a list of what is available, visit (PDF OF ON STOCK HERE). These can be purchased by contacting scrip coordinator Debbie Cazares. You can also place your order directly from the scrip coordinator. We accept cash and checks. Payment must be made in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot accept debit or credit cards.

Orders can be placed online using Presto Pay, a secure payment option, which can be linked to a checking or savings account. There is a small service fee of 39 cents. CLICK HERE for instructions about how to enroll. Be sure to use our enrollment code 1CLCF96L26352. This will ensure that Poly gets credit for your purchases.

Q: When will I receive my scrip?
A: Scrip will be ordered once a month on the 10th of each month and will be available within approximately 10 days. You can arrange pick up with the scrip coordinator or in the fall, that will probably take place during drop off time on Thursday night practices.

Q: Can I place a special order?
A: Special orders of $300 or more may be placed at anytime, but please allow up to 10 days for delivery. For pickup, contact the scrip coordinator.

Q: Is there a minimum purchase?
A: No, but most certificates have set face values.

Q: If I lose my scrip what happens?
A: We cannot replace the certificates so keep them in a safe place.

Ralphs Community Contribution Program

The Ralphs Community Contribution Program provides an opportunity for the Riverside Poly Proud Heritage Band & Color Guard to earn a percentage of purchases made using registered Ralph’s Rewards cards. The Ralphs Community Contribution Program is based on a yearly term. New participants must register their Rewards Card online. Existing participants must re-register yearly, but the process is easy since they already have an online account.

For 2011, the new term started September 1st. That means all existing participants must re-register, even if they just registered as recently as June, July or August.

As an alternative to using the online registration, Ralphs also offers a ‘scan bar letter’. This is a letter that is simply scanned at the register. If you would prefer using a customized scan bar letter, please email your request to community.programs@ralphs.com
