Swing Dance Debrief and Planning Meeting

The recent Valentine’s Day swing dance was a hit. More than 300 people attended and we raised nearly $1,500 for the Poly Band program. Central Middle School students sold tickets and raised funds for their program as well.

Mrs. Hendrickson is having a parent meeting at 6:30 p.m. March 10 at Central Middle School, 4795 Magnolia Avenue. We will debrief about the dance and will also start the planning process for the next event.

All band and color guard parents are welcome to attend (even if your child is not in the swing band) to offer up ideas and help with the planning.

RCC Wind Ensemble Festival

Location: RCC

Remember to take your instrument with you after school!

You need to provide your own transportation. Also, you will need to park in LOT E in order to avoid getting a parking ticket. LOT E is the lower parking lot, where the busses parked for the Big Orange Classic.

3:15 pm – Call Time

Meet in the foyer of Landis Auditorium at RCC.
Wear your Tuxes and Formals.
Get your instruments out, and leave your case in the foyer.

4:00 pm – Warm-up

4:30 pm – PERFORMANCE

5:00 pm – Clinic

You will be dismissed right after clinic. Please remember to bring your instrument to school on Wednesday.

Volunteer Needed to Pull the Drumline Trailer

Our first Drumline show is this Saturday, March 6th. We are in need of a volunteer to pull our trailer so, if you have a truck with a tow package, and are available to help, please contact Steve through the contact page on the web site so he can get you in touch with Barbara Villegas. Bake Sale Donations Requested

The 2010 Winter Drumline will have a bake sale at the pre-festival concert this Thursday, March 4th. All donations are appreciated and can be dropped off any time before the performance in the Little Theater. Please pre-pack items for individual sale. Also, label each item, as it is critical for our patrons to know whether or not the items contain nuts, etc. Proceeds will be used for costumes, paint, props, instruction fees, transportation, etc.
