Drive One Volunteers and Car Wash parent volunteers needed. We still need many, many volunteers for the Drive One event. Please sign up to help.
We’re using VolunteerSpot (the leading online signup and reminder tool) to organize our upcoming activity. Please sign up for Drive One 4 UR School/Poly Band Car Wash – here’s how it works in three easy steps:
1. Click this link to go to our invitation page on VolunteerSpot. 2. Enter your e-mail address: (You will NOT need to register an account on VolunteerSpot) 3. Sign up! Choose your spots – VolunteerSpot will send you an automated confirmation and reminders. Easy!
Note: VolunteerSpot does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to use your email address, please contact me and I can sign you up manually.
The event will be held this Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Poly High School parking lot. We can earn up to $6,000 (at $20 per person we only need 300 people). It’s easy, only takes a few minutes and is no cost to you. THIS IS NOT A SALES PITCH AND NO SALES PERSON WILL CALL YOU. Let’s all ask five people and see how fast we can make 300.
Thank you to Fritts Ford in Riverside and the Ford Corporation for this opportunity. Please repost on your Facebook sites and share with your neighbors!
Car Wash: We will also hold a car wash the same day from 8 am. to 1 p.m. Your student will bring home four $5 tickets. Please ask your child to sell them. And while they are at it, have them share the Drive One 4UR School flier.
Parent/Booster meeting: Our next parent/booster meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on April 10 in the band room. Please plan on attending. This is an opportunity to find out how to participate on the board. Or you can contact board president Kim Lane at Kim@riversidepolyband.com to find out more. Don’t be shy! Get involved.
Board position: We only have one board nomination to date. please, please sign up. Many of the parents who hold positions this year have graduating seniors and will no longer be available to volunteer. Positions include president, ways and means, treasurer, uniforms, chaperones, trailers and it, secretary, website/e-mail publicity, and parliamentarian. Positions can be held jointly. Submit a nomination here: http://riversidepolyband.com/?p=1250. If you are nominating someone else, please get their permission first.
Candy money: Just before spring break your child was given some candy to sell at $1 per bar. Please have your child bring in the money for that candy on tomorrow (Wednesday.) If they want to sell more, it is available. Important: Your child must return either the money or the chocolate.
